Service Description

These are Carlie's classic workshops that you probably know and love ❤️. Her years of experience have informed these high power workshops to meet all your sex ed curriculum objectives and empower students to know what to expect from their experiences. Each grade 6/7 workshop is 90-minutes long, and includes time for question box. Each workshop has a MAX of 70 students. Multiple time slots are encouraged on the same day! Curricular Competencies and Content Addressed: • Influences on individual identity, including sexual identity, gender, values, and beliefs. • Physical, emotional, and social changes that occur during puberty and adolescence. • Consequences of bullying, stereotyping, and discrimination. • Sources of health information. • Practices that reduce the risk of contracting sexually transmitted infections and life-threatening communicable diseases • Propose strategies for responding to discrimination, stereotyping and bullying. • Analyze health messages and possible intentions to influence behaviour. • Describe and apply strategies for developing and maintaining healthy relationships •Create and assess strategies for managing physical, emotional, and social changes during puberty and adolescence • Identify and describe strategies for avoiding and/or responding to potentially unsafe, abusive, or exploitive situations • Explore and describe strategies for managing physical, emotional, and social changes during puberty and adolescence
