Service Description

These are Carlie's classic workshops that you probably know and love ❤️. Her years of experience have informed these high power workshops to meet all your sex ed curriculum objectives and empower students to know what to expect from their experiences. Each grade 9 workshop is 90-minutes long, and includes time for question box. Each workshop has a MAX of 70 students. Multiple time slots are encouraged on the same day! Curricular Competencies and Content Addressed: • Assessing factors that influence healthy choices and their potential health effects. • Identify and apply strategies to pursue personal healthy-living goals. • Reflect on outcomes of personal healthy-living goals and assess strategies used. • Propose strategies for avoiding and/or responding to potentially unsafe, abusive or exploitative situations. • Propose strategies for developing and maintaining healthy relationships. • Propose strategies for responding to discrimination, stereotyping and bullying. • Create and assess strategies for managing physical, emotional and social changes during puberty and adolescence. • Explore and describe the impact of transition and change on identities. • Healthy sexual decision making. • Potential short- and long-term consequences of health decisions including sexually transmitted infections. • Sources of health information. • Strategies to protect themselves and others from potential abuse, exploitation and harm in a variety of settings. • Influences of physical, emotional, and social changes on identities and relationships. • Consequences of bullying, stereotyping and discrimination.
